Holding it down for Astoria, the Museum of the Moving Image is reason enough to visit Queens from any borough. The screening schedule of classic and under-appreciated film gems is constantly changing, as is the calendar of exhibitions. Currently undergoing major expansion, the museum is hosting a number of events offsite, but its interactive Behind the Screen exhibit will still have you wandering (and playing in) its halls for hours.
