Editor's Note

It feels like the season only just began, but tonight Celebrate Brooklyn! sadly bids the summer of 2014 farewell. Ending on a resounding high note, the superb, musically nutritious series invites St. Vincent up to the stage. The moniker of Annie Clark, St. Vincent stops by amidst the Digital Witness tour in support of her self-titled fourth album. Clark, who began her career performing with the Polyphonic Spree and Sufjan Stevens, has developed into a formidable force on the music scene. Her latest record is not only a personal best for the multi-instrumentalist, but it is also one of the top albums of 2014. Featuring fuzzed-out guitars, electronic beats, and sophisticated lyrics, St. Vincent’s album is a startling, and meticulously crafted masterpiece. Opening for the evening is the gorgeous-sounding chamber-pop project of Ellis Ludwig-Leone, San Fermin.
