The Electric Zoo Festival is an annual electronic music festival held over Labor Day weekend in New York City on Randall's Island Park. The festival represents all genres of electronic music, bringing top international DJs and live acts from multiple countries along with hometown favorites to four stages. Time Out New York cited Electric Zoo as the festival that "transforms Randall's Island into an Ibiza on the East River every Labor Day", and EDM Lounge called it the "can't miss festival of 2012."[1]

In its 2009 inaugural year, 26,000 people passed through the festival's gates to see artists including Armin van Buuren, Deadmau5, David Guetta and Ferry Corsten. In 2011, Electric Zoo expanded to a 3-day festival and hosted 85,000 attendees. Electric Zoo has received coveted International Dance Music Awards nominations in 2010, 2011, and 2012 for "Best Music Event",[2] as well as press coverage from major media outlets like CNN,[3] New York Times,[4] Huffington Post,[5] Village Voice,[6] Time Out New York,[7] New York Post, DJ Mag,[8] and Ocean Drive, establishing it as New York City's premier electronic music festival as well as a top American event.[9] The 2012 festival took place on August 31 - September 2 and featured headlining acts Above & Beyond, Pretty Lights, David Guetta, Laidback Luke, Dada Life, Tiësto, Porter Robinson, and more.
