Editor's Note

We predict the annals of shoegaze history will one day include a passage on I Break Horses, the Stockholm duo consisting of Maria Lindén and Fredrik Balck. The band, notably influenced by My Bloody Valentine, the Cocteau Twins, and Jesus and Mary Chain, have been amassing an international fanbase since the release of their three-year-in-the-making debut, Hearts, and recent tour opening for M83. Their synth-driven sound, crafted by Linden with lyrics authored by Balck, is supremely blissed-out and richly textured. For their live sets, the pair enlists additional musicians to replicate their recordings. Tonight's show, which unfortunately will not include the hotly tipped, visa-challenged Cardiff act Man Without Country, goes on with Brooklyn's Field Mouse in the opening slot.
