Editor's Note

Emily Kai Bock went from being a film production student at Montreal's Concordia University to being a much sought-after music video director almost overnight. What put her on the map was the dreamy video she did on-the-cheap with cinematographer Evan Profofsky for Grimes' Oblivion. The clip landed her an agent and high-profile assignments from the likes of Coke and bands such as Grizzly Bear, Doldrums and Haerts. Most recently, she worked with Arcade Fire to bring Afterlife to life. Having recently relocated to New York, the filmmaker is the guest at today's No Fun Film Club and Wythe Cinema screening event. The afternoon features a screening of her work followed by a post-screening Q&A.
