Queen's Nails Annex presents the work of multidisciplinary artist Tony Labat, who combines elements of installation, sculpture, performance, and video, not to mention a healthy dose of institutional critique. Keeping in stride with such a reputation, the Cuban-born artist transforms the role of QNA's environs, at once creating a space dedicated to community dialogue and implementing a "site-specific social structure" — that is, Labat uses the gallery setting as a kind of town-hall platform. Expect discussions, artistic exchanges, and open calls for those with unusual talents.
