Music: Rock/Pop Hot Hot Heat w/ Bedouin Soundclash and De Novo Dahl

Canada's Hot Hot Heat yelped their way onto dance-floor rotations and college-radio playlists in 2002 with Make Up the Breakdown's jumpy, jangly indie rock. Their newer material — including the newly released Happiness Ltd. — showcases the quartet's progression toward an increasingly melodic, new wave-influenced sound. Taking a cue from the band's recent touring partners, frontman Steve Bays abandons his vocal hiccups and frenetic delivery. Tonight, HHH is joined by countrymen Bedouin Soundclash, a pop-infused ska-reggae trio whose repertoire recalls the early days of the Clash.
