The Pacific Film Archive resuscitates The Last Man on Earth for a Halloween screening sure to induce shivers, and perhaps a few yucks, as well. An Italian-American coproduction released by the schlock-masters at American International Pictures, The Last Man on Earth is the first of many adaptations of Richard Matheson's dystopic novella I Am Legend and still one of the best. Vincent Price stars as Morgan, the titular lonely soul who staves off disease and flesh-eaters in a world gone wrong.
