Beloved indie icons Yo La Tengo have built their expansive career on eclectic, experimental sounds, playing everything from breathy, effervescent pop to instrumental, feedback-drenched noise rock. Tonight, fans flock to witness the fearless spirit that birthed 1990's Fakebook and 1997's I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One, as the scene stalwarts hit SF on their Freewheeling Tour. Described as "a little bit Storytellers, a little bit Unplugged," the unusual program promises a spirited dialogue between the audience and the band members, while they perform almost-acoustic hits from their impressive 23-year career.
