Drawing over 1,200 people from all over the Bay Area and beyond, JTAF 5 promises anything but an average day in the Marina. This year's symposium is likely to be the most elaborate yet, growing alongside interest in Japan's most colorful export. Be prepared to meet an avatar of the beloved Sailor Moon or even duel with the grotesque Angels of Neon Genesis Evangelion. After the battle is won (or lost), check out the array of domestic and imported films for an inside scoop on anime's cutting edge. A game room and performances by San Francisco's own akai SKY complement this feast of audiovisual thrills.
