Performing Arts: Dance ODC/Dance Unplugged presents KT Nelson's A Walk in the Woods

Dovetailing with the ODC's planned renovations, the theater's renowned choreographer KT Nelson presents <i>A Walk in the Woods</i>, an ambitious, new full-company piece. Taking cues from the piece's sylvan title, the performers' bodies sway like the boughs in the metaphorical woods that surround them, their movements conveying overlapping cycles of sex, birth, death, and rebirth. Argentine composer Osvaldo Golijov's swooning, crooning, klezmer-inspired compositions serve as an appropriately emotive backdrop for Nelson's unfolding spectacle of movement.
