Art GROUNDED?

In celebration of its new home on 14th Street, the innovative Southern Exposure gallery is launching a joint interdisciplinary show with its neighbor, the revered alternative-art space Intersection for the Arts. The five-week-long GROUNDED? exhibition explores multiple interpretations of "groundedness," while reinforcing both organizations' commitment to pushing social, political, and artistic boundaries, and showcasing the work of dozens of Northern Californian visual artists, performers, and filmmakers. The show's "Public Art/Urban Intervention Day," on December 1, will feature six hours of ideas and installations culled from the show's open call for proposals, all displayed on the sidewalks and streets surrounding the two galleries.
