Combining the gender-bending spectacle of drag shows, the scintillating glamour of burlesque, and the humor of classic circus clowning, Frolic's performances at once sizzle and provoke. Hosted by punk-pop vaudeville duo Dreamboat, Where Are You?, this fest features many notable local acts, including burlesque troupe Twilight Vixen Review, Trannyshack legends Suppositori Spelling and Raya Light, and colorful acrobats from Eat Cake Productions. The festival — which completely sold out during last year's run — raises funds for CounterPULSE, a nonprofit venue that fosters the talents of many emerging artists working in dance and other performance arts.
