Here, in one corner, is glam-punk band Anti Feminism, whose concept is "the ideology of danger." Lead singer Kenzi meticulously smashes things, cuts himself, and hits vegetables into the audience with a baseball bat (as every self-respecting "out-of-control" rocker should). In the other corner is Hagakure, a pop band based on the concept of happiness. This "coupling" of androgynous J-pop groups is a sociologist's dream, with its anime-inspired costumes, homoerotic imagery, and awkward English; Japan may be 14 hours ahead of us time-wise, but culturally, they beat us by at least a millennium. Lyv, Rusika, and Secret Secret open the show.
