Andrew Moore's new photographic exhibition contains grand images of colonial and imperial architecture from settings throughout Russia and Cuba. The peeling walls and hollow interiors act as a survey of the effects of shifting regimes and political strife (not to mention alternating rounds of gunfire and neglect). But Moore's more arresting images — like one in which a model sits in a grimy room with the regal pose of a Tsarina, despite a vermillion coif — remind viewers that within the deteriorating husks of these decaying relics reside people who are as timeworn as the buildings that house them.
