A mainstay of the jazz scene both in San Francisco and nationwide, Lavay Smith can frequently be found lending her purring, powerful voice to elegant supper clubs such as Top of the Mark. Backed by a full band of talented instrumentalists, Smith is taking her songs to the more casual gin joint Cafe du Nord. Smith's classic and original jazz tunes are the perfect accompaniment for the blues dancers and lindyhoppers who'll inevitably crowd the dance floor.
