The Headlands Center gives San Franciscans a good reason to cross the Golden Gate and enjoy some fresh air this weekend: their triannual open house features artwork, installations, sounds, and multimedia screenings from their impressive roster of associates. Exhibiting artists include Walter Kitundu, an innovative composer and musical-instrument maker who recently won a MacArthur "genius" grant. Pioneering video artist Chip Lord, who cofounded the Ant Farm video/performance-art collective in the '60s, is also on board, alongside recent CCA graduate Christine Wong Yap, whose whimsical, wry installations and sketches have gained both local and international followings.
