Climate Theater says…

Although John Cage is perhaps most infamous for those four minutes and 33 seconds of silence, his larger cultural legacy was to utilize chance— the random, unplanned and unexpected— as a compositional tool. Artists as diverse as the poet Jackson Mac Low and the experimental pop musician Brian Eno have found inspiration in Cage's aleatoric methods. Tonight, the Climate Theater has invited a group of local, multimedia artists working in sculpture, video, sound installation, and photography to create a carnival of chance operations in which you, the viewer, partially determine what's created.
