The '60s infused San Franciscans with a recklessness and disregard for authority that affected every genre of art and ushered in an unprecedented era of exhibitionism. Along with this came a new kind of visual titillation, in which anyone with a 16mm camera could make seductive, sassy art in the form of softcore sex films.
