The '60s infused San Franciscans with a recklessness and disregard for authority that affected every genre of art and ushered in an unprecedented era of exhibitionism. Along with this came a new kind of visual titillation, in which anyone with a 16mm camera could make seductive, sassy art in the form of softcore sex films. YBCA heralds San Francisco's rich history of cinematic erotica with a two-day program featuring a screening of amateur shorts, a glimpse at the life of a bisexual hustler in The Meatrack (1968), and an homage to live nude girls with Flaming Striptease.
