The Palace of Fine Arts transforms into a magnificent dance arena this weekend, serving as host to an international talent show for pop 'n lockers, krumpers, and breakers. Creativity and gravity-defying athleticism are prerequisites for participants, but what really stands out is the versatility on display. Headliners Breaksk8 previously roller-skated their way to domination on MTV's hit show Americas Best Dance Crew, San Jose's DS Players are a zoot-suited trio known for their funk stylings, and Loose Change blend hip-hop with ballet, Lindy Hop, tap, traditional African dance, and martial arts. In addition to over twenty performances, the fest offers master classes and a screening of the new documentary Everything Remains Raw.
