Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Fanciful prose and tea and crumpets aren't the only things flowing freely at the 30th-annual Dickens Christmas Fair. (Read: There are plenty of hot toddies and English ales on tap at Ye Old Publick House.) Streets lined with cobblestone facades and flickering lamps take on a Dickens-era glow, as spectacles like chimney sweep processions and impromptu performances of A Christmas Carol keep the crowds enthralled. Bangers and Mash String Band, Mad Sal's Alehouse mavens, and live lingerie models behind the glass cases at Miss Darla's Dolls Gone Wrong keep even the orneriest humbugs' spirits focused on tales of Christmas present.
