Never one to shy away from controversy, Nas wanted to name his newest record after the world's most famous racial epithet. But, due to distribution difficulties from retailers, the hip-hop icon was forced to settle on Untitled. As he warns in his hit release, "Hero," "If Nas can't say it, think about these talented kids / With new ideas being told what they can and can't spit." While he's certainly right to raise the point, Nas can take solace in the fact that "Hero" became a Billboard hit in June, and the album has since been certified Gold. He may have lost a word, but at least he's still got his grip.
