To celebrate the launch of his digital label, Brainfeeder, LA-based producer Flying Lotus has put together a roster of top-notch signees and friends, all converging at 103 Harriet tonight. The future-hop auteur has garnered numerous comparisons to the late, great J Dilla for the laid-back, left-coast cool of his latest record, Los Angeles. Gaslamp Killer, whose wild beard makes it seem like he could live up to his creepy moniker, produces heady, epic hip-hop beats, and his sets see him seamlessly shifting from Portishead to Trick Daddy. Londoner Kode9, whose dready bass lines pull even the most discerning listener out from underneath their hoodie, also throws down alongside Martyn, Samiyam, Hudson Mohawke, and Ras_G.
