All glamour and flair, the four women behind Conscious Fashionistas go against the grain, favoring thrifty, salvaged finds over newer, more expensive off-the-rack pieces. With an eye for what's unique and hip, these style mavens organize shopping expeditions and trunk shows that encourage women to think outside the box (and the landfill). At this CELLSpace event, dig through a selection of clothing and accessories handpicked by the Fashionistas, as DJs spin house, breaks, and drum 'n bass. Later in the evening, a catwalk show and a belly dancing performance provide inspiration for some fresh outfits and promote a body-positive attitude. Just make sure to bring plenty of cash, as credit card machines are not available.
