For over 40 years, the Intersection for the Arts’ bread and butter has been breaking down and blurring the barriers between artistic genres. So their year-end blowout, the Hybrid Festival of New Works — a mash-up of spoken word, hip-hop dance, live music, and theatre — is not an occasion to be missed. The dance and poetry machine Marc Bamuthi Joseph co-headlines with the Living Word Project to deconstruct spoken language within the context of contemporary theater. New material from Denizen Kane, Lauren Whitehead, and Jason Mateo is also on display.
