Despite what the glossies would have you think, there's more to film festivals than red-carpet photo ops and endless bags of swag. Film festivals mean business. The Sundance Film Festival, in particular, has become the leading meat market for independent film, where good buzz or a chance behind-the-scenes deal can make or break a film's prospects in an already overcrowded and fickle marketplace. Tonight, take a look at what really goes on in Telluride, from the perspective of local filmmakers Deann Borshay Liem and Jennifer Maytorena Taylor, festival veterans Sam Green and Tiffany Shlain, ro*co films CEO and international sales agent Annie Roney, and seasoned local publicist Chris Wiggum.
