Art Freedom of Art feat. Lawrence Ferlinghetti

It's easy to convince ourselves that the worst of American censorship is behind us. YBCA tries to disabuse us of that notion, however, with a special presentation of a set of Lawrence Ferlinghetti's thick-stroked paintings, recently removed from an office building because they were deemed inappropriate. Beat poet and City Lights founder Ferlinghetti has a lifetime's experience combating such closed-mindedness; YBCA celebrates this tradition with a reading of Allen Ginsberg's famously ostracized epic Howl.
