Music: Electronic Noise Pop XVI: Electropop feat. MSTRKRFT

When Noise Pop's curators added an electronic component to this year's festival, they clearly did their homework. They began by pairing up with stellar local promoters Blasthaus; in turn, the techno tastemakers booked Canadian knob-twiddlers MSTRKRFT, whose long roster of remixes includes crunchy, amped-up renditions of hits by Kylie Minogue, Wolfmother, and the Gossip. But these Death from Above 1979 alumni also excel at creating their own work, with a battery of pulsating laptop and keyboard numbers that make dance-floor attendance mandatory.
