More Flavor: City Gem Pi Day 20th Anniversary

In case you've forgotten middle-school math, Pi is a constant number in Euclidean geometry that starts with the digits 3.14, and goes on... well, forever. It turned up in Einstein's theory of relativity and has inspired everything from a Darren Aronofsky film to a Givenchy cologne — and 20 years ago, Larry Shaw even decided to bless the number with its own day at the Exploratorium. Since then, Shaw's whimsical idea has developed into a charming local tradition. At 1:59pm, join him and other Pi fans at the museum for games, music inspired by the number, and, of course, pizza and apple pie.
