Film The Invisible Forest

Local underground filmmaker Antero Alli has quietly amassed a lengthy filmography over the last decade, working roughly at the pace of a feature per year. The Berkeley resident channels the subversive spirit of his adopted hometown in films that question commonly accepted political and spiritual realities. He has also furthered the "paratheatre" medium, an approach that combines traditional theatrical techniques with meditation to produce an intensely internal acting style. ATA screens his latest film, The Invisible Forest, a psychodrama in which a theatre director embarks on a subconscious journey, complete with dreams about the French surrealist Antonin Artaud in the forest. Fans of the far out, rejoice!
