Music: Rock/Pop The Velvet Teen w/ Aloha

The Velvet Teen have spent the last few years enduring lineup shifts and the death of a founding member, but it looks like 2008 may be the trio's banner year. After taking time off to work on his side project, co-founder Judah Nagler has regrouped the band for a West Coast mini-tour, showcasing their peppy, anthemic indie pop and previewing some new material. The Velvet Teen are joined by Aloha, whose eclectic instrumentation and haunting vocals adorn plaintive, delicate slowcore tunes.
