Omaha's Tilly and the Wall could be Noise Pop's poster band: an adventurously attired quintet with indie cred and considerable pop-song chops. And besides that winning formula, they've got a clever gimmick: tap dancer Jamie Pressnall (also the band's percussionist), who spends TATW's live gigs perched atop a mic'd wooden box. After spending the winter recording the followup to 2006's Bottoms of Barrels, TATW hit Noise Pop with a fistful of new songs. Fellow Nebraskans Capgun Coup warm up the stage with lovingly crafted lo-fi garage rock.
