Art Feral

In Feral, Monica Canilao and Swoon build a wild, creative world out of layers of urban flotsam and jetsam, fabric scraps, and paper collage. Canilao's mixed-media constructions are thickly layered to evoke emotional, textured landscapes, while Swoon's stencils and life-sized figurative cutouts of humans and animals inhabit Feral's vivid world. The exhibition is a potent mix of folklore, poetics, street art, and architecture, expressed in the languages of two vastly different but equally talented artists.
