Jancar Jones Gallery consecrates its new space with a group exhibition showcasing works from Lucas DeGiulio, Bill Jenkins, and Chadwick Rantanen. Though the three men have independent practices and are aesthetically distinct, this untitled show does well to wrangle them all into one (incredibly tiny) room. Each artist imbues familiar objects with cryptic and peculiar significance. DeGiulio's delicate pieces are built on the striking and often poetic contrast between manufactured materials and the natural world, while Rantanen's works examine interior scenes and convey far grimmer tones. Jenkins, meanwhile, adds a more playful touch with his textured assemblages.
