Film Cutter's Way (1981) and Rolling Thunder (1977)

The Castro serves up two bitter slabs of post-Vietnam disillusionment as part of its ongoing Second Dark Age series of post-noir films. Cutter's Way (1981) stars Jeff Bridges and John Heard as a jilted gigolo and damaged veteran who become embroiled in a murder investigation. More obscure is Rolling Thunder (1977), an apocalyptic take on the "hero returns home" story co-scripted by Taxi Driver (1976) writer Paul Schrader.
