Music: Rock/Pop The Ditty Bops

It's not surprising that LA folk-pop duo the Ditty Bops specialize in sweetly romantic yarns. A couple since 1999, they use their perfect pitch to play off each other vocally, and mix guitar chords with the gentle sounds of traditional bluegrass instruments such as mandolin, dulcimer, and washboard. Some songs are cleverly symbolic; others are simple and straightforward in their loveliness ("I bought an umbrella big enough for two/But it feels pretty empty under here without you," they sing in "Wishful Thinking"). With their playful live shows, the Ditty Bops welcome the audience into their intimate circle of two.
