Rail-thin Deerhunter singer Bradford Cox has leaked dozens of Atlas Sound demos and experiments on his blog, but last month's release of Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See but Cannot Feel still qualifies as a minor triumph. The album's immersive laptop pop — touched by savory shoegaze and narcoleptic soul — doesn't sacrifice intimacy for its icy grandeur. Cox's new project is more blissed-out than the punkish Deerhunter, so it makes sense that he's tapped Portland ambient healers Adam Forkner (White Rainbow) and Honey Owens (Valet) for his live band. They each get a solo set, as well, on what's goofily billed as the "Perry Feral Solo Tour 2002."
