One person's trash is another person's treasure — or sculpture, as is the case at Sculpturesite's current exhibition of art works constructed from repurposed materials. The pieces on view include Joan Robey's mixed-media assemblages, Adele Seltzer's towering totems, Ann Weber's amorphous cardboard constructions, and Jane Woolverton's wall tapestries woven from plastic six-pack holders. While the works' aesthetic appeal is undeniable, their origins in wasteful consumerism also serve as critiques of our environmentally unsound habits.
