It's All True (1993)

Orson Welles' filmography is cluttered with half-finished projects, alternate versions, and misinformation. It's All True contains footage from 1942 shot in Brazil and Mexico for a three-part, socialist-tinged documentary. But disputes with RKO and Brazil's dictatorship relegated the project to the vaults. It's All True sets the record straight with detailed research and several long segments of the writer-director's working cuts. Scholar Joseph McBride speaks after the film and screens tantalizing excerpts from two other unfinished works, Don Quixote and The Other Side of the Wind.
