Art Curatorial Industries presents Self-Storage

Duchamp had his suitcase-sized monographs. Warhol, his yearly time capsules. Taking its inspiration from Buckminster Fuller's Dymaxion Chronofile — an epic scrapbook that documents the inventor's life in 15-minute increments — Curatorial Industries has assembled a collection of boxes, filled with works by an international roster of artists and archival organizations including the Museum of Jurassic Technology, the Archigram Archive, and the Winchester Mystery House. Viewers access archives via computer or card catalogue, as they would any library's holdings, to evoke the  museum's earlier and more fanciful function as a cabinet of wonders.
