More Flavor: Parade Northern California Cherry Blossom Parade

Cherry blossoms are revered in Japanese culture for their ephemeral beauty, and, on this side of the Pacific, they're a much-anticipated sign of spring. The Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival marks the end of its celebration of the delicate flowers with an annual parade from City Hall up to Japan Town. Towering floats carry taiko drummers, the newly crowned Cherry Blossom Queen, and her court. If the breezes are stiff enough, there'll be a veritable snowstorm of pink petals.
