More than 31 years into their career, Stiff Little Fingers continue to embody the enduring spirit of punk. Once called the "Irish Clash" — thanks to their adherence to a well-honed, airtight punk sound and a political philosophy born from inequity in their homeland — SLF outgrew such facile comparisons to come into their own. Lineup disturbances aside (lead singer Jake Burns has been the only constant over the years), the Northern Irish lads define the type of fists-in-the-air camaraderie that still riles the hearts and minds of anti-authoritarian youth the world over.
