Music: Rock/Pop Tipsy w/ Coppe and Magnetic Stripper

Tipsy's name accurately sums up the effect of listening to their fluorescent tropical cocktails of exotica samples and live instrumentation: you feel dizzy and giddy, and then you want more. Though very much a studio entity, the San Francisco duo occasionally deign to play live, turning the stage into a warped bachelor pad shared by Martin Denny and DJ Steinski. Tipsy aren't retro revivalists, though, so you can leave that Hawaiian-print shirt at the door. Rather, much like Negativland, they are plunderers whose samplers can barely keep up with their ADD-addled ears.
