Art YBCA presents What's the Big Idea Day

- What's the Big Idea Day
Yerba Buena Center for the Arts' open house lets viewers take in the big ideas the nonprofit has been engaging with this season through a variety of visual media, workshops, and performances. Stephanie Syjuco, currently featured in the center's exhibit The Way That We Rhyme, teaches how to crochet counterfeit luxury goods. John Huston's long-banned, unflinching portrait of WWII vets, Let There Be Light (1946), resonates uncannily with contemporary stories of troops returning from Iraq. And local female MCs Sisterz of the Underground perform a spirited, consciousness-raising live set.
