Music: Electronic M83 w/ Berg Sans Nipple

When France's M83 first washed up on these shores with 2003's Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts, it was a giant step forward for shoegaze music. The duo channeled the swelling ennui of pioneers like My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive, creating seriously futuristic pop music in the process. Guiding light Anthony Gonzalez split from original collaborator Nicolas Fromageau before launching off into even more grandiose territory on M83's 2005 album, Before the Dawn Heals Us. Gonzalez snuck out a lower-key ambient album last year (Digital Shades Volume 1), but returns to San Francisco in support of Saturdays = Youth, M83's latest album of gorgeous electronic sprawl.
