Film An Evening with Eddie Muller

Eddie Muller has done as much as anyone to ensure that film noir gets its due in America. He touches down at the Cerrito Speakeasy (beer and wine available, but alas, no scotch) to present Billy Wilder's Hollywood nightmare Sunset Boulevard (1950), as well as his own film The Grand Inquisitor. Muller's short, which premiered last January at his annual Noir City Film Festival, stars forgotten starlet Marsha Hunt. An omnivorous culture hawk, the "Czar of Noir" has also published books on the history of adult cinema, helped create a historical boxing museum, and directed a revival of Noel Coward's 1921 play The Better Half.
