Music: Rock/Pop Conspiracy of Beards

Barely catching their breath after a densely packed two-day tour of New York that included a performance at the Whitney Museum, Conspiracy of Beards return home for the release of their much-anticipated CD. While the gravelly Leonard Cohen-tribute chorus is best experienced in the flesh, their five-track album recorded at Closer Recording in SOMA is a must-have. Included are "Chelsea Hotel No. 2" and "Hallelujah," and the warm tone of the recording perfectly captures the intimacy and vocal complexity of the Beards' live performance.
