The newly revamped 111 Minna (no more muddy sound system!) hosts Trigger, a three-ring circus of a party featuring the work of emerging designers, artwork from local painters and multimedia mavens, and tunes from the decks and mics of an impressive array of NorCal performers. Lilofee's synth pop takes a cue from fellow local indie-dancers like the Lovemakers and Hey Willpower, matching slick electro beats with pulsating melodies and Kimi Recor's coolly detached vocals. Early in the evening, LA's the Hmmm play charmingly lo-fi geek pop, and Gun Club's Ryan Poulsen fills in the gaps, spinning upbeat, quirky dance hits.
