Music: Rock/Pop Ecstatic Sunshine w/ Walt Disney, Cex, and Naked on the Vague

Their name alone conjures the manic vibrancy of their Wham City brethren, but Ecstatic Sunshine contribute a unique brand of intrigue to the Baltimore roster: the most wicked interlaced guitar lines on either side of the Mississippi. Their latest album, Way, fleshes out their previous work with slow drones, but at their core Ecstatic Sunshine are a dueling-axe psych act, sounding something like a lo-fi marriage of Yes and Fresh Maggots, with a friendly punk-rock ethos. They play with Walt Disney (a local superband featuring members of Tussle, Tarpita Fleisch, and Jah No Dead), Baltimore's prank-hopper Cex, and Australia's masters of easygoing dread, Naked on the Vague.
